Effective
July 1, 2001, the Virginia Advanced Life Support continuing education program
was altered to reflect changes adopted by the National Registry of EMTs. The
purpose of changing the CE program to mirror the National Registry's program
is to streamline and decrease confusion for recertification of both National
and Virginia EMS credentials. For more information on the CE changes and how
they affect ALS providers, view the Change in Continuing Education memo issued
by the Virginia Office of EMS.
As
of June 1, 2001, the Virginia Office of EMS web site allows providers to view
their Continuing Education record online. You enter your new certification number
or SS number and use the last four digits of your social security number as
your initial password. You may change your password the first time you access
your records.
